Biography: Joyce Bender

Joyce Bender has been a radio professional with major market experience, having learned from and worked with many prominent broadcasters.

An award winning journalist recognized for medical reporting by the American Medical Association and the American Heart Association, Joyce has been a frequent contributor to national network newscasts including: ABC, CBS, NBC, AP and CNN. Her news experience includes covering presidential campaigns, local state and national issues, the XVI International AIDS Conference, hostage crises, highway snipers, prominent court cases, weather emergencies, disasters and NFL expansion. As a National Press Foundation fellow she completed study of business issues in Washington, DC and health issues in Toronto, Canada. She was chosen as the only New York media representative to receive a full scholarship to the International AIDS conference by the International AIDS Society in Geneva, Switzerland.
